"3:10 to Yuma"? What did you think of it?!

Question: I thought it was pretty good. I like both the main characters (Christian Bale and Russell Crowe). There were a lot of plot twists (almost too many), but all in all, I'd give it a 8 out of 10.

Honestly, I love Christian Bale--he's a great actor. Ben Foster and Peter Fonda did nice jobs, too.

BUUUUTTTT, for all the apparent plot twists, I was pretty bored throughout the movie and thought Russell Crowe's character was a little too predictable, even for a Western. He wasn't cold enough to begin with for me to really appreciate his transformation. I don't know if that was Crowe's fault or the writer's.

I definitely wouldn't say it was a total waste of time, but these movie ads for the DVD, saying it's the best western since Unforgiven, are absolutely unbelievable. Maybe they didn't see Tombstone or Open Range, and I don't even know if those could rival Unforgiven.

I saw it when it first came out a few months back. I thought it was radical!

It was awesome

I'd give it a 7 just because it was a western. But I liked the story and especially the ending. It did have me on the edge of my seat during the shootout at the 'train station', and I liked the way they did the camera angles, I was actually able to follow the shooting, instead of just waiting to see who would be left alive.
Odd movie with heart. Maybe an 8 now I think about it.
I did like the scenery.

ben foster is one crazy motherfucker. but it was a good movie, a pleasant surprise.
