Which Harry Potter movie is so far the best to watch?!

Question: I have enjoyed four the most, because of the humor. My order is 4, 1, 5, 3, 2. For the movies.

But I'd encourage everyone here to favor the books.

The movies, while great with casting and action scenes (the fight at the end of movie five actually improved on the action in the book), just seem to lack the soul of the books. You know, the thing that makes you fall in love with all the characters, care when they die, cry for days, and stay haunted for weeks. The movies are small shadows of the spiritual, philosophical, political, and emotional children's book powerhouses. They really do seem like just shadows and small trailers of the books. They are great when you are having book withdrawal! But the movies just can't suck you in that well, or make you that obsessed. Seeing the movies before she read the books, my sister said, "Why is that so popular, what makes it so special?" Then she read them, and now she's a fanatic.

While there is more detail, many more wonderful characters (like Peeves!), and the plot actually makes sense in the books, what keeps them at the top of my list is the emotional impact and the suspense not found in the books even to a small degree. Watch the movies, and you'll get the gist of the magic, the castle, roughly what the main characters are like as flat stereotypes, and a shorter version of a simplified plot. With the books, it all seems real and the characters become people. And the plots make you want to scream wondering what happens.

The 5th one is my favorite.

the 1st!

I found the 5th movie the best

If you ask me the movies are nothing compared to the books.

personally i like the goblet of fire and order of the pheonix the best

the one where harry and cho kiss! thats my favorite

I liked the 2nd Harry Potter Movie.

i liked the second and fifth one the best

The third because it followed the book the closest. My order is 3, 4, 1, 2, 5. Order of the Phoenix was HORRIBLE. It was all screwy and hard to follow--and I actually read the book!!

My suggestion would be to read the books first, then watch the movies.

The 5th is my very favourite.
