What do you think about the movie The Big Lebowski?!

Question: I think its not that funny...

Answers: I think its not that funny...

Have seen it and i disagree with you... It has the most cruel joke ever when Dude friend always breaking all the fun in the story and makes me feel like im gonna kill this guy!

I agree, it's pretty lame.

Try smoking a joint or drinking heavily THEN watch it.

I have seen it multiple times. A true piece of art.

But, but, but... he's The Dudester, The Duderino...

It's weird, some people I know think it soooo funny, but I have noticed they have weird sense of humor. I thought it was kinda dumb

I Agree
Hapy Gilmore Is Better

I loved it. One of my all time favorite movies.

what? its hilarious. very well done. john goodman is awesome in it. the whole story and the characters - perfect!

I love the part where they are sprinkling the ashes from the coffee can and they just blow back.

LOL this question is ironic because that was on stars last night...and my cuz was watching it. lol...i think its kind of stupid myself...but thats just my opinion.

You must have a very dry sense of humor then. Lighten up and laugh a little. Not as good as Kingpin but close.

That's just like, your opinion, man.

I must have watched that flick at least 50 times on the tail end of a long night out.

If you don't like it, that's your business, but it is a great movie.

I like that movie. It's one of my favorites.

Each movie by the Coen brothers seems to have a very select clientele to whom it appeals. Not everyone likes them, but they really are works of art. By cranking them out once a year or so, their movies end up reaching a wide cross section of the public. Don't like "Fargo?" That's okay, go out and see "Raising Arizona." Don't like that? Then give "O Brother Where Art Thou" a try. And so on. (They've made a heck of a lot of movies.) They cross a lot of different genres and styles and there's probably something in there that any individual would like.

I've only seen The Big Lebowski once, but there are elements of it that stick with me to this day. I don't understand the cult following that has built up around the movie, but then I can't see devoting a big chunk of my life to any kind of "fan" activity. The people who make these things get paid plenty in good old cash. My adulation is something that they can probably live without.
.

either you get it or you don't.

it's not a "ha-ha look at me" kind of humor (say like Adam Sandler, Martin Lawrence, or Eddie Murphy - e.g. "Chuck and Larry", "Big Momma's House 2", "Norbit)

it's subtle and it's literate. in fact, it's not really even all that much of a comedy, it's more of a crime movie, a film noir. it's a coen brothers movie.

which is not to say it's without it's comedic elements. when the nihilists sic a ferret on the dude in the tub, when the thugs get into the dude's apartment despite his best attempts to nail the door shut, when the dude gets creamed with a coffee mug, when you find out what jackie treehorn was drawing on the notepad. and don't get me started on john goodman's performance (you want a toe, i can get you a toe!).

but like i said, either you get it or you don't

I thought the movie was GREAT and one of the funniest films I have ever seen. I laughed my a** off and still quote the movie. "Donnie, you're out of your element. Dude the chinaman is not the issue. Besides chinaman is not the proper nomanclature. Asian American Dude."

"He's not someone who helped build the bridges Walter Jesus *****!" LMAO, how can you not laugh at that.
