4 questions about I am legend?!
Question: 1. How did the creatures become intelliegent to know to use "Fred" the mannequin from the video store?
2. How did they track the doc, woman, and boy if they were in a vehicle? I know they didn't use any liquid to cover their scent like the doc did and it was night but they were in a vehicle. If the creatures could smell well enough to track a moving vehicle, they should of found him long before that. Could it be because he was bleeding?
3. After the creatures trapped the Doc and released the dogs, and even after the light faded, why didn't the creatures attack also?
4. Why didn't Dr. Robert Neville throw the dang grenade through the plexiglass and hide with the woman and boy? They even said there's plenty of room and they survived. I mean you don't have to self detonate a genade, it has a fuse.
5.If you were a trained soldier, and had access to all the military equipment in New York, wouldnt you have more than an M4A1 rifle, an M67 grenade, and a few claymores outside your home?

thats more like ten cuz there is like three questions inside of each question...
1. the creatures were still somewhat human and will smith underestimated them i think
2. They probably followed him quickly and have the crazies spread all throughout the city... they are able to communicate somewhat with eachother, and the blood thing does bring up a good point too, remember when he used that vile of blood on the floor how quickly it worked...
3. good question, probably just bad storyline editing
4. cause they wanted to make him a tragic hero and a tragic ending, although i don't think they set it up enough for that kind of ending and would have rather have seen him live
5. we don't know what kind of crazy stuff happened between him surviving and the rest of the soilders being killed... i was thinking that would make a great movie, the depletioin of the survivors in new york.
Hmm good questions. I can try to answer a couple of them.

2) I think the followed them home after she saved Neville and didn't follow his directions on not going straight to where he lived until dawn.
3) I think it was still dusk and the sun was up a little bit so the creatures didn't come out.
4) I guess when he saw the butterfly he had an epiphany and decided it was his time to go and be with his family.
5) I would have definitely tried to find some more weapons. I would have installed a turret outside or something. But hey that's just me.

TO PEDRO: The book doesn't explain a thing about the movie, because the book is TOTALLY different!
2) it took place at night. they were fast. they probably kept up.
4) remember he looked at the picture of his family? he wanted to be with them. his job was done.
All of your questions could be answered with: "because it was a stupid movie in which the writers got lazy and didn't bother tying the loose ends."
To add some more to your list, how did Ana and the boy get to the island? If someone says boat, then what the hell were they doing in a car, and why didn't they just dock at the spot where the Will Smith character said he would meet people.
read the book it explains all of that and this remake of The Omega Man is horrible...
1. Well, they had three years to develope as "dark seekers" and the ones who survived had to be intelligent enough to do so for so long. Being able to walk out for food only at night for three years had to develope SOME survival technique and skill. Plus, Dr. Robert Neville had caught literally hundreds of "dark seekers" by that point, using a "bait" mechanism. His trick: Use blood to attract the creatures till they fell into the trap. By three years worth of being caught by the Doc. they too learned how to "bait" their own food and prey. It was only a matter of time before the Doc became their prime target.
2. Not for sure, but from what I remember, he never drove to his house.. EVER. He always walked to it from a safe distance. And, he always drove a different vehicle and since he was bleeding, it was possible to track the scent. The "dark seekers" had a very hieghtened sense of smell, much like that of a wild animal. And wild animals have been known to track their prey for miles, in fact the Great White can track the scent of blood for literally HUNDREDS of miles. So the tracking isnt all that far fetched. PLUS, it was dark by that point. Meaning the "dark seekers" could follow them WHILE they tracked the scent. And... they're all over the damn place. Its GROUND ZERO!
3. This one is a bit tougher to answer, but my best guess would be that it was the "dark seekers" attempt to show the Doc. that now THEY had control. They didnt need to chase him, he would come to them. Which he did, with the manequin "Fred" trap. Also, it was obvious there was a "leader of the pack" much like an "alpha male" who shows great signs of control over the others. It was his decision to unleash the dogs on Neville, and if you remember, it was HE who first tried to attack Neville in the beginning, exposing himself to the sun.
4. Self sacrifice is the highest degree of honor. It fits the name of the movie perfect. With that action, he moved out of the path of Hero, and into the path of Legend. Do you remember when he and the lady first started talking? She called him "THE Robert Neville". He was only a Hero at that point. Even in the paper clippings on his fridge, he was deemed as "Savior" and "Hero". But, with this last act of selflessness, he became "LEGEND". Plus, its Will Smith. Hes the black guy, he HAS to die going out with a BANG! LoL!
5. ****.. With all that spare time I would've learned to fly a damn plane and get me the **** outta dodge! LoL!
He instead used his time and energy NOT in the self defense so much of his home, he had it secured enough. But, instead, he used his spare time and energy to research, trap, eat, workout, and stock pile necessary items for survival. The "living in a tank" is a great thought, only problem with that is how the hell would he have found the cure!! LoL!
It was a fantastic movie overall though, one of Will Smith's BEST acting! Hope this helps!! (vote for best answer!)

1)they learn from seeing Neville hunt.the trap that Neville did on the Creature and the Trap they use to Capture Neville are kinda the Same cause they Got it from him.
2)because they Follow them cause it was still dark thats why Neville said not to go to his house until theres light outside.that why Neville always went home before dark.
thats the only way they can rome the Streets when its Dark.

4)because the Main Creature guy wasnt gonna stop until they got Neville.they were only after Neville since he was the One always capturing them and doing test on them.(thats why when Neville Catches that girl Creature,that guy gives Neville a Mean look)so he just killed himself so he can be with his Family and to Save Humanity.
