I loved the book. As an avid reader this book really hit home. I have read it many times. The movie is worth one viewing. It pretty much follows the book but there's nothing like reading the book!

It also depends upon which version of the film you watch.
There were changes, but I found the original was far more gritty than the remake
I think you should watch the film, specially for John Hurt s acting, he really delivers an awesome performance
