Blockbuster late dvds?!

Question: is there a specific date you have to pay your restocking fee so it won't be converted to a sale? I returned the dvd 2 days late... due to my stupidity (misreading the due date)

OK, here's the deal. My grandson does it all the time.
You have a week after the due date to return the movie. If they have your correct phone number they will call you with a recorded message that lets you know you have an overdue movie. The message will tell when it has to be back before being converted to a sale. It will also tell you have 30 days to return without charge except for the $1.25 restocking fee.
If you were only two days late you could have kept a few more days and watched it again, that is if it was worth watching again.

my fiance works at blockbuster...

you have 7 days after the dvd is due back before they charge you the full value of the dvd. if you return the dvd within the month, they'll take the full price off and charge you the restocking fee.

if it's only 2 days after the initial due date you're fine.

If you return a DVD within twice the time you check it out for (as in a two day rental two days late-four days after you've rented it) there is no late fee. After that, I think you get charged twice what you paid to rent it (as in pay $5 to rent it, pay $10 late fee), and i think once its two weeks over you need to pay the full price for it.

a week is the latest date you can return it by before it becomes a sale.
