The scary dog in the Omen...was this a mistake?!
Question: in the film the Omen (original), there is a scene near the end where Gregory Peck is trying to divert that scary black dog. he goes to the basement, opens the door, but instead of going down he hides behind the corner...the dog comes down, sees the open door to the basement, *thinks* Gregory Peck must have gone down there and goes down...Peck then locks the dog in there...
ok i understood you could trick a person like this...
but this was a dog! wouldn't it have just smelt him in the corner?

funny i thought the same thing when i watched it. i guess they thought we wouldn't catch that. anyway is was almost 30yrs ago and movie making has gotten better.
