Why was Al Pacino a mob boss in Godfather & Scarface, but in Donnie Brasco he wa!

Question: I thought you were supposed to advance as time goes on.

Answers: I thought you were supposed to advance as time goes on.

It was a role, and a good one for him. In "Brasco" he proved he's not a one note actor.

I also loved him in "Insomnia". Interesting movie.

because it's not the same literary universe, and he gets paid to act. maybe that part was more interesting to him than the lead.

Um, because Al Pacino is an actor, not a mob guy, and these are movies, not reality.

yes pretty good but the real ones die and go to other programs.

He is an actor , he accept this rule and he was good , to show the people that he can act any think any time

Well, it's obvious isn't it? He is caught in some kind of time warp, and he is travelling backwards through time, but, strangely, he is getting older as he goes. We all must make every effort to save him from this terrible fate, else one day he will be aged 100, and embarking on his first illegal activity, stealing milk from someones front porch!

In the second movie, perhaps he excelled in a secondary part rather than the main part. It could have also been personal interest for Pacino in that particular character, or the final payment for that role.

he pretty much sucks in everything else but The Devils Advocate,Scarface and the Godfathers. then he really fell off as an actor. just my opinion.
