Question: I watched "World Trade Center" in theaters. However, I really thought it was a boring movie overall. I can't believe the director chose to focus on a few lives when there were much more in the rubble.
Of course, I sympathize with the loss of lives in NYC on September 11, 2001. But that movie bored me to tears!

No, I don't think it's bad. I have the movie on DVD and I haven't bothered to watch it because it seems boring. I mean, it's "just" a movie. Yes, it's about something terrible that happened but it doesn't mean that's why you should like the movie. They are two things, something terrible that happened and a movie about it. Movies can be good and bad, no matter what the subject is. And if you think it's boring, it doesn't make you a bad person.
No your not bad. I thought it was lame too. I thought I would be in tears and filled with emotion. The fact of what happened was sad and terrible. The movie just cannot capture the reality of what happened. I liked Flight 93 better. That movie made me cry soo much and it shows you what happened to the people on the airplane.

I guess it is a matter of prospective, to me 9/11 made me cry to think anyone could be so hateful or full of rage to do something like this. Have not seen World Trade Center.
But, when I hear about Carlos Mencia making a joke about Japan calling the Taliban, I laughed.
Not, that I have anything against any Asian.
