I recently saw I am Legend. I really liked it. I read this article

Question: It spoke about 'I am Legend' and 'Omega Man'. Whoever wrote this didn't seem to be too keen on Legend and wrote this: "And that makes for a pretty empty film. While the shots of New York City overgrown and dead, with deer cavorting through the streets--along with the occasional escaped zoo lion--are nice to watch, and Smith's performance is particularly intense, there's just something lonely and lacking about this film. Other people eventually show up, but we're not given enough time to relate to them. And this movie breaks a cardinal rule that no film should EVER break. I'll let you figure it out on your own. " What did he/she mean by this. I feel dumb for not getting it.
(The part about breaking the cardinal rule)

something about no star is good enough to stand alone on film...i dunno, i have heard this before when relating to castaway. whatever, it was a good movie and now i'm keen on reading the book. i really liked it too. went and saw it on christmas day and i'm still thinking about it.

I ended up reading the book after the movie, just be prepared for a totally different story line.
