What do you think of the new Pirates of the Caribbean 3 movie?!
Question: I didn't get to see it all, but sorry, Disney went over the line with the hanging scene in the beginning, (it was bad enough, but they hung a CHILD for heavens sake!!) And shooting people in the head.........can't believe my friends let thier 10 yr. old kids watch this! Loved the first 2, but don't remember them being this violent. -My opinion!

I was thinking about that when I was watching it...
I do not have kids myself but children from the school I worked let me know that they felt impressed of those images...
I didn't enjoy any of the pirates of the caribbean movies.
You have to pay attention when you watch it. There are plots within plots within plots. Also, if you did not see the first two, you miss a lot of the inferences. Overall, I liked it. My friend did not because he was trying to multi-task and missed some of the subplots. The child scene at the beginning was actually historically correct. Not only grown men were executed as pirates. Women and children went before the executioner as well.
It was an okay movie...to tell u the Truth, I was soooooo bored. When my relative went to go see it, she fell asleep. It was a more violent movie, then the rest...it also got a 3 of 5 rating, meaning it was okay...here is a movie review website:
The 3rd one was weak. It is not new either. They had a waste of characters. There was no point to Calypso or the pirate kings. The ending was stupid as well. The jokes were not that funny and they tried to make Captain Sparrow seem even weirder which made them look like they were trying too hard.The writers threw that story together as if they had something better to do. Terrible movie.
I didn't care for any of them myself they were just too overly hyped in the media and the actually movie it's self just didn't deliver in my opinion. I love Johnny Depp as an actor but to me these films aren't really his finest work . You're right about the hanging thing i don't think that was necessarily appropriate for a film that is supposedly suitable for children historically accurate or not, this film was probably not the best choice for such a portrayal. children's films can push it sometimes...
Well, the beginning was fairly violent, but it's a DIsney movie come on. The rest of the movie is a lot better than what you saw. There's a reason it's rated PG-13 not PG. Pirates 3 is now my favorite movie and I think I was a perfect 10!
