Question: If Johnny Depp played Charles Manson in a biopic, I think it would be a pretty decent movie. After all the weird, eccentric roles he played and seeing interviews with Charles Manson, I think Depp is qualified for the role. Movies based on real-life people or events seems to be something done a lot these days and this would be a great one to make. Feel free to share your opinions.

Johnny Depp probably could do it, but Steve Railsback's performance in "Helter Skelter" (TV miniseries) would be difficult to surpass. The man is positively brilliant in that role! Of course, he's been good in others, but this one is outstanding.
I can't really see trotting out the story for another go. Knowing their present tackiness, they would make it too graphic and would want to show all of the deaths in detail, which would be horrible. I couldn't even watch the trash they filmed about George Reeves and the Black Dahlia murder! I started to watch the films and had to bail out when they became so lurid and tacky, nasty, distasteful or other suitable word. That's what they'd do to the story now.
No, I'd rather he not play this role, but he would do it brilliantly.

Manson ain't a bad person.....he did not kill the Kennedy boys. However, Depp is a good person, too.
He'd be AWSOME as manson. Probobly the best person, if not the only person who could play him correctly. I mean who else could play the role of such a twisted personality as Manson, but someone who himself is a bit twisted?
