Yeah, I'd wait and see it at a matinee or something so you don't waste so much money if you don't like it. I know the critics love the movie, but everyone I've talked to pretty much hated it. I know a couple that even walked out of it.
I'm not sure what kind of movie you and your kids will like, but Juno was pretty good. I've also heard good things about National Treasure 2.
How old are your kids? Apparently it's pretty bloody.
If they are older, though, definitely look into it. It's already got 3 Golden Globe nods and from what I hear, the actors are at their best.

Where are you going to see a movie for $70? Our movie costs 8 bucks after 6p.m. but $4.50 before 5 p.m. If we want to wait another month we can catch it at the dollar theater.
I always sneak candy and snacks into the theater. I am not paying 5 bucks for a box of candy I can get at Walmart or Dollar General for a buck. Thank heaven for kids so I can carry a huge bag! I have a friend that takes Subway Sandwiches when she and her kids go.
Well, as long as they're all into musicals, because that's what it is.
