...you are most fortuntate that I caught this question, as this is one of my favorite horror films; you're talking about the oh-so chilling 1964 Euro-horror classic, "Castle of Blood", starring the irresistably beautiful, hypnotic and sexy Barbara Steele. The director of this most underappreciated horror gem, Antonio Margheriti, remade this story in 1971, albeit in color, under the imported title, "Web of the Spider", with character actor Klaus Kinski showboating a quite over-the-top performance as Edgar Allen Poe...
