National treasure book of secrets or I am Legend??!
Question: I am taking a 12yr old boy to see one of these movies. Which one do you think is more appropiate. In my opinion I think National Treasure because its less scary.

Seeing how the youth of America is today, he'd probably enjoy I Am Legend.
It's not that gory.
I think the worst part of I Am Legend is all the hyperventilating the monsters do and when the main one screams.
He'll like it though.

I am Legend wasn't THAT scary, but for a 12 year old boy, I'm sure it would be.
National Treasure. I Am Legend is a bit more scary because National Treasure: Book of Secrets isn't scary at all. I haven't seem I Am Legend yet but my cousin has, and he said it scared the heck out of him, and he is only 18. I highly recommend you to take the boy to a PG rated movie than a PG-13 rated movie. And mainly, this boy is 12 years old, not 13.
taking my 5 year old to see Book of Secrets tonight. he has been bouncing off the walls since he found out there was a 2nd National Treasure out.
National treasure. My friend went to see "I Am Legend", and she said that it is great, but definately an adult movie.
National Treasure is a lot better. I saw both and personally everyone I know who saw it didn't like it at all.

umm for a 12 year old... umm.... probably National Treasure looks good. never saw it. but i know I am legend deserved movie of the year award... but yeah there's a lot of shooting and chases and guns and whatnot in i am legend. oh yeah and freaky zombies.

I've seen both and I think National Treasure was a better movie overall plot-wise but I am Legend was good as well. Definitely pick National Treasure if you're looking for something less scary though.

It depends what the boy likes. I saw I Am Legend, and enjoyed it. It wasn't really scary. I haven't see National Treasure, but I have heard good things about it. Ask him what he wants to see.
depends on his maturity. If he's twelve he's already in midle school and that's worse than an R rated movie. I am Legend is better in my opnion. National Treasure was HORRIBLE!!!
For a 12yr old, National Treasure. But, I am Legend is so much more better.

im 13 i saw national treasure 2 and it was pretty good. i want to see i am legend but i havent yet. you cant go wrong either way let him choose.
My husband just took his 12 year old daughter to see I am legend and she loved it... I'm taking her next week to see National Treasure... with that said, I guess it all depends on how your 12 year old typically responds to movies.
BTW... he took my daughter who is 10 to see the Golden Compass, and they both thought it was pretty good.

I agree w/you. "I am Legend" looks VERY cool, but those "creatures" in the previews, remind me WAY too much of the freaky mutants in "Silent Hill"! Though kids, and even adults often SAY kids are "immune" to that, I disagree. My kid saw "Sleepy Hollow" when he was 12 and at the time, was very casual about it, but it gave him nightmares for months!
National Treasure #1 was pretty good and the second one looks even better.
