Just saw Pirates of the Caribbean?!
Question: I just saw the latest one but haven't seen the previous ones. All I can say is...WHAT??? Damn, you really have to have seen them all to understand don't you??? I got lost in who was fighting who and who was on what ship and did Davy Jones betray Calipso previously or what? I mean danm...it's all so confusing!!! The movie was pretty exciting but I think it would definitely be lost on people like me who hadn't seen the others. But just for fun, I'd also like to know what others think about the question posed in the movie "Do you think Jack plans it all or does it all just work out that way?" I mean is he really that smart or just that lucky????

That was the most common criticism of the final installment in the trilogy, the plot being far too convoluted to follow. Wikipedia gives a fairly straightforward synopsis of who's working with who and who double crosses who and why. After reading it, I could follow the story and wasn't so caught up in trying to figure out why things happened and who was working with/sabotaging who.

I think Jack sometimes just gets lucky AND sometimes plans certain aspects of the chaos. It's like... he lets the cards fall as they may, but sometimes he's holding the Ace of Spades and knows when and how to play it.
which one did you see .if you see them in order you uderstand.
he is just lucky. i doubt that jack is really that smart. but yes u really do have to see the other movies ecspecially the second one they really take off on one another because they were filmed so close together.
I think it's a combination of both luck and cleverness. Because he's Captain Jack Sparrow.
And as for the plot, it's confusing even if you have seen the first two movies. There's just so much stuff going on all at once that it's hard to keep track of what's going on. But I do reccomend that you go and watch the other movies. They're great.

I have seen them all and I still feel the same way you do. I think they made it way to confusing.
