i prefer HSM 1... to be honest, i only watched HSM 2 once but i watched HSM 1 many times. HSM 1 has better songs while HSM 2's song were really horrible and they sang about really random things in almost every single scene. that much singing really annoyed me.plus i think the storyline wasnt great. there wasnt really a reason to have a sequel anyways.

okayy well first of all I Love HSM 1 & 2
but the first one is rather Cheesy like at the beginning when Gabriella & troy are like finishing each other's sentences. Also its about a musical & they never even show it! & Zac Efron doesn't even sing in the first one.
I love HSM 2 way way way better:
Zac Actually sings throughout the whole thing.
its got wayy more meaning and alot better songs like everyday & you are the music in me.
instead of crappy ones like getcha head in the game. the guys look way better & who doesn't love a good Love story & some kissing scenes with a rather Sexy guy like Zac Efron!

depends if you like new or old i beleivethey have very similar plots but i just like the 2nd cause i think it has better songs

It depends I like them both but I think some of the songs are better in HSM2. And if you like Troyella then the 2nd one might be the best.
