...that eerie child's voice-over, used for the "Hatchet" trailer, was one of the most compelling reasons why I went to see the movie...and in the end, after viewing this film, I was oh-so far from disappointed...
...I had to have watched the trailer, at least a hundred times, before finally seeing the film, and I think that I can recall approximately, what the child whispered eerily in the voice-over; let me give it a shot...
"Once upon a time, there was a boy named Victor Crawley...
Folks weren't too kind to Victor, so he stayed in his daddy's house, out in the bajou...
One night, some mean kids came to his house, and there was a terrible fire...
When his daddy chopped down the door, to save him, he didn't know that Victor was pressed up against the other side...
.....and poor Victor Crawley died!!!
They say people disappear in these woods, and legend has it, if you get close enough to the Crawley house at night, you can still hear Victor Crawley...roaming in the woods...crying for his daddy...
(...over the main title) Stay Out of the Woods!!!"
...anyways, I think that's the way it went; I suppose that the reason why I was able to remember all of that so well, is because that eerie child's voice sticks in your mind...long after hear her tell the tale (...gave a a chill, just writing it out!!!)...
