What do you think of the movie "The passion of Jesus Christ"?!

Question: I have to give Mel Gibson credit for his potrayal of the last hours of Jesus' life. All other versions of this moment have been "sugar-coated" before. If you see any of the other movies that have come out over the years they treated His suffering with kid gloves considering the Gospel accounts of it. As a believer it was good to see as close an interpretation of this moment. It helped to see as well as know what Jesus went through for a lost world in need. Sure it was bloody and violent and heart-wrenching, but it was as faithful as possible to what happened.

it was bloody.

it would have been a whole lot better if u didn't have to read to whole movie

2-plus hours of watching the most horrific torture you can imagine...

Hmmm....no thanks. Mel is crazy.

SAD...I cried almost throughout the WHOLE movie..Way to go Mel G.!!

it helped me understand Jesus's death. but it was really gross

I thought it was great, subtitles and all. I can see why a thief repented after watching it. Although the beating scene was difficult to watch I can see where Mel was going with that, I felt it.

I was very impressed with how closely it followed the Biblical account of the crucifiction. I was worried that it would be way out there, but Mel stayed true to history. It was very hard to watch, but really helped people understand how horrific this event really was. He put a lot of hard work into making an accurate film. Even though reading the dialogue was grueling at times, having the actors use the authentic language of the time was very impressive and helped the viewer feel the authenticity of the movie.

I believe that this is the best depiction so far to what the Bible says actually happened. Especially when he was scourged. Even what it shows in the movie is nothing compared to what the Bible says happened. The Bible says you could not even recognize he was a man. no movie will ever get that close.

Never seen this one, but loved The Passion Of The Christ.
