I would give a 10 man. the movie was awesome (+ effective), some scenes made me actually feel... one such incident would be the isolation of a well populated city. its better scene through this movie than i could with my imagination. Another would be a lonely man living a routine life with no companion (except for sam the doggy) and the use of script, less words more 'picture it yourself' kinda movie. could watch this more than once SATISFACTION GUARANTEED!

I just saw this movie the other night. I will give it a 9. With such suspense you can almost predict what's coming but you have no idea when. This movie had everyone on the edge of their seat in the theater. While some moments are scary others would make you think "omg that's so sad." The ending is something you would never see coming and this is by far one the better movies out there.

5, it was just okay.... i hated the plot and ending, but the graphics, and the way they filmed it was ammmmazing, also Will Smith was brilliant...

It had all the potential in the world to be something special but it just fell flat much like "War of the Worlds". The flashbacks were used horribly. I didn't care about how he parted with his family, I wanted to see more of how the people mutated and then ate the survivors. Also, the woman and child were poorly written into the script. They were not in the movie long enough for us to care about them but in the movie too long to take away Will Smith's thunder.
If they had done better flashbacks or none at all, it would have been better. If they had introduced the woman and child earlier or later, I think the pacing would have been better. Shrek scene...completely unnecessary time filler. Save it for the DVD.
Anyway, I was entertained for the most part but not the classic it should have become in my opinion.

i would give it an 8.5, i saw it last week. it was good, i realli liked it :)
10 definenantly. People who read the book would give it lower but I haven't so I loved it.
9 cuz someone could have lived anyways...
7.5 - there are some things I would change. Religion should have been left out of it.

I agree with you, they seemed kind of out of place. I heard that there was a different ending where Neville returns the female zombie to the pack and they let him go, and then it shows him, Anna and Ethan driving away. They had to re shoot the ending in November because of the poor reactions it got. I guess they couldn't really cut Anna and Ethan out all together, but they also couldn't introduce them earlier, because it would have been too expensive to re-shoot so much of the film at such short notice.
