Every year I watch at least one version of "A Christmas Carol" by Dickens. This year I saw Patrick Stewart in the 1999 BBC version that was shown here in the US on TNT-TV, and I also saw the 1938 version with Reginald Owen as Scrooge. I actually prefer the Patrick Stewart, though I keep waiting for him to say, "Engage!"

I didn't see, because it wasn't shown, the 1951 version with Alistar Sim! It wasn't shown last year, either. The last time I saw it, it was on WGN-TV out of Chicago. I grew up in Chi and that was the local independent station. After the movie, they showed three cartoons that I grew up watching: "Hardrock, Koko, and Joe" (Santa's elves) "Here Comes Suzy Snowflake", and "Frosty the Snowman." When I was a youngster in the 1950s, that's how I knew Christmas was coming. It was when we saw these cartoons on "Garfield Goose."

I enjoyed 'Peep Show' where he's on a stag outing on a canal boat and he ends up eating a dead dog's leg in front of it's owner after trying to burn it, it was hilareous, wish I'd seen the previous few eps that were on that night

I watched Fruits Basket DVD volume 1 with my little sis and our brother. I gave the DVD to my sis for xmas. It was great.

I like all of them but have not watched even one yet this year
