Chipmunks...... Balloons or fast forward???!
Question: I was talking to someone the other day and we were trying to decide how they make the chipmunk voices. He thought that they used helium out of balloons to make their voices sound that way, and I thought that would be alot of helium and they would probably be dead from side effects. So my thinking is, that they fast forwarded the recordings of the show and then added in Dave and the other characters' voices. I just saw the commercial for their new movie and it made me wonder.....

they sped up the tape - - that would have been way too much helium....
