Question: it was pretty good but the cgi of the "monsters" was disappointing....all the other special effects looks really good i don't know why they couldn't spend more time on making them look more realistic....but its still worth watching...the dog will win an oscar for her performance!!!!!!

Yes it was very good, I would definatly go see it!
Oh, come on, how could it NOT be good? You got zombies (well, sorta-kinda zombies), you got Will Smith being an action hero, you got Will Smith being funny/charistmatic/charming Will Smith, and if it's your bag of chips, you got Will Smith being all buff doing shirtless pull-ups.
Plus: the scenery they created of Manhattan after it's been uninhabited for 3 years is just amazing.
Lastly, and this is probably just my deal...the opening sequence with the Ford Shelby GT500 is the coolest Mustang action scene since Bullitt, and the GT500 sounds way cooler.

My dad and brother went to see it on opening night and said it was really really good. The entire audience clapped at the end, too!! Now I've been bugging him to take me to see it lol. Go watch it! I hope you like it :)
If you're a Will Smith fan, you'll probably like it, if you're a fan of the book, you probably won't.
