I liked them all. Black Hawk down is a good movie if you just want the tipical war movie where it is pretty much just nonstop violence. Jarhead i thought was really good and is a one mans perspective of the gulf war and his training and everything he went throught. Flag of our Father is about the true story of Iwo Jima and four mens perspective of what they went through in the battle and how they didnt deserve to get leave. But if you do want to watch Flag i also recommend Letters of Iwo Jima, it is made by the same director and everything but it is the Japanese version of the whole battle (and yes its in Japanese so you have to read).

My suggestion is to watch all of them.

Black Hawk Down

Flag of our father

Black Hawk Down

BHD don't even compare to those other two now SVP on the other hand.... best war movie till inglorious bastards release
na meen'

I liked them all.

'Black Hawk Down' for me. (But can I also recommend 'The Pianist' as a good war film, that is, if you haven't already seen it..)

Flag of our Fathers was pretty good, but they are all pretty good, I'd have to say a tie. To much of a different story to say ones better then the other.

Saving Private Ryan is my favorite though.

If you want to see the best war movie ever made, rent "The Three Stooges." They were always at "war" with each other.

all of them were good but none of them should be compared because they were all different scenarios... but to be honest SPR is ine of my all time favs...

Flags of Our Fathers - I say this one because it really changes the way you look at American "heroes," and I don't mean in a negative way either. The movie breathed new life into the term "hero" and what a mixed blessing it was for those men to carry around such heavy responsibilities that came with it. It will give you a different pespective on war, added a human touch behind it.

dude, Rescue Dawn, it is based on a true story of American Soldiers being held prisoner in Vietnam and trying to escape here's a link

Blackhawk down ruled, jarhead sucked, and i never saw flag of our fathers. Go with blackhawk down.

From your list, probably Black Hawk Down.

But if I can, I would suggest "Apocalypse Now"(if you haven't seen it). I think it's the best war movie you can ever watch. (not the redux version though)

Flags Of Out Fathers is a bit boring but still interesting.

Jarhead, I wouldn't know, I haven't watched it.
