Why did they do this on the movie 300?!
Question: I dont understand why they made the Persians basically all african american...i never learned they were africans...someone told me they never really captured Africa so why were they like that?? I mean they did such an amazing job describing the Spartan boys but the Persians....and the king Xerxes had a beard right??
not a bald head and he kinda looked like a drag queen to some people...also they Persians were not very sexual people right??they seemed like they were like sex gods and what not...thats what someone told me

Xerxes was the God King of a thousand nations. It's said his army was from the far reaches of the world. His immortals looked Asian. His emissaries looked Arabic. As for Xerxes,it's the director's interpration of a God King.
I have to admit though, Leonidis and his warriors do seem to be true to the image we have of Spartans.
first of all not all the persians were black. secondly they played greatly with history. xerxes himself was played by a latino.
xerxes was not 8 foot tall either and they did not have giant elephants and rhinos. and if the persians were not sexual people, how do you explain all the people running around in iran?

I believe its a conspiracy to demonize Persians (Iranians), in order to justify the future invasion of Iran. According to Hollywood standards, portraying someone as Black, is basically putting them down. We have very racist people in the media.
