I can't say I blame you for thinking the movie was real footage. If it was, I don't think they would've released it as a movie. It was just three incredible, incredible actors dramatizing each situation.

Blair Witch Project is one of the scariest, most intense and unnerving movies I have ever seen. The realism, the shaky footage, the distant screams in the night, the brilliant dialogue of the main characters, the creepy occurences that appear each morning outside their tent...... it all added to the spine-chilling effect the film has on you.

And that final 5 seconds...... when Heather is screaming and the camera is pointed at Mike, standing motionless in front of the wall..... it gives me shivers just thinking about it. And anyway, was Mike dead right at the end? Was it even him? What was he doing standing still near the wall? It's so scary because it's covered in such mystery, and given the past hour and a half, it has a huge effect on your mind......

Even though the movie was just a movie, it was indeed based on true events.

yes it is all make believe xx

It is not true.

When the movie came out, they set it up to look like this was the actual footage found and that this was actually something that happened to real people.

This added to the effect of the movie - making it even more scarier than it was.

It is one of the best horror films ever - it is FREAKY - esspecially the end where the boy is just standing in the corner - ooh goosebumps!

So no, it's not true, just actors.

BTW - the sequel SUCKS!

It's all made up their all actors the legendI'm not sure about and by the way could you use spellcheck next time you almost made me have a brain fart trying to spell legend

it was all made up...

thou spookily everyone involved in the film disappeared soon after the hype died down!

It was all acting.
They did set it up to look like it was real, for extra publicity and all, but eventually it came out that it wasn't.
They did well making it seem realistic though.

And I have to agree, the sequel is terrible.
