I want it to be Cthulhu from H.P. Lovecraft's works! That would be a homegrown creature, so to speak, since he's an American writer.
Cthulhu would be an awesome and unstoppable being~or seemingly unstoppable~once he made his presence known. And, they could bring in others from the Cthulhu Mythos! I keep hearing other theories, but this is my hope.
I found some art that someone posted on a forum, but the link won't work anymore. It depicts a creature called The Parasite and has scale images that include a human being and the Statue of Liberty. Also, it shows the licelike creatures that latch on to it but detach themselves to attack people. The notes with the artwork say that these human-size creatures attach themselves to people then transform them, which is what is supposed to be happening to the woman behind the curtain in the video that has been on display for several months. It contains more material than is on the TV trailer.
I'd love to be able to go to a theater Jan. 18, 2008, but I'll have to wait till it comes to the movie channels. By then, maybe they'll be releasing pictures of the beast/monster/creature/whatever.
