EDITED: I just found my copy of the movie and played the opening, and it is just a snippet of "Cry Little Sister". However, it's recorded by Gerard McCann, not The Sisters of Mercy.
After some dialogue, "People Are Strange" by Echo & the Bunnymen begins playing. So, that song registers more for people because the other is very briefly used.

YouTube has a number of deleted scenes, too! One was a wise deletion because it might have given away too much too soon. It's Deleted Scene #10. I plan to watch the others.
