I agree. I think he would have had plenty of time to jump in there. I don't think they are going to have a sequal, but if they do he can't be in it.
I was disappointed about what happened to him, but i thought it was a great ending.

i am legend is a book...so there was no second book so there shouldnt be a second movie...

I totally agree, I was also very upset how his family died...
He could'nt have not thrown the grenade because one of the mutants (i'm thinking the dumb one trying to break the glass with his skull rather than something in the room) may have thrown itself on top of the grenade, thereby reducing the shock effectiveness of the explosion's sudden invasion of the oxygen in the room.
Anyway, who says there can't be a sequel?

There's a lot of things that would have made the movie better...the ending was the least of its problems.

Yeah, but it was okay! I thought it was still a great surprise ending! What I wanted to know...after the grenade went off I am sure the house collapsed! So how did the other people get out.....cause that little door could have been blocked by a beam or something? You know what I am saying...all in all I thought the movie was very entertaining! I usually don't like movies in that genre.
Great ending! Him being saved would have been a big let-down for my faith in the screenwriters.
You know, when I saw that dog, I knew it was done for. No dog in a zombie movie is going to do well....
You coud tell that they would have had to squezze to fit him in there, she was saying that just to try and save him. There wasn't acually anymore room to fit him.
