Question: So if the Beatles were in the LOTR who would play who?
And what songs would go in which scene? I've often thought about this. Here's what I think:
John Lennon = Gandalf
George Harrison = Legolas
Ringo Starr = Gimli
Paul McCartney = Aragorn
Yoko Ono (not a Beatle) = Orc.
And the songs:
Frodo leaving home: Acorss the Universe
Battle Between Gandalf and Sauramon: Revolution
Boramir dies: Hey Jude
Frodo meets Smeagal: Come Together
Sam gets abandoned: The Long and Winding Road
Frodo almost gets killed by Shelob: HELP!
Sam and Frodo cry at each other: Yesterday
Smealgal dies: Strawberry fields forever
Going home: Let it Be
Sam's wedding: I've Just seen a Face
Ending: I Get By with a Little Helo from my friends.

Well I don't know if the Beatles wanted to be in LOTR, but I think they might have wanted to be in the Breakfast Club:
Ringo Starr: Brian
John Lennon: Bender
Paul McCartney: Allison
George Harrison: Claire
Andy, Mr. Vernon, and Carl could all be played by Yoko.

Certainly at some point "Come Together" would be appropriate for Sam and Frodo. If there were closets in Middle Earth those two were definitely living in them.
