I dont understand the ending of i am legend. what is with the butterfly? how did!
Question: do you remember when will is taking his family to the helicopters and he was talking to his wife in the car and his daughter was saying look at the butterfly because she was making one with her hands, and when they were in the lab and all the infected people were coming after them he say anna i think her name was neck and she had a butterfly on it so then he remembered what his daughter was saying. the test subject got cured because will was injecting her with whatever he was using and so he took the blood from the subject because it had the cure in it and gave it to anna...that's my opinion anyways hopefully it helped

The butterfly is me. I haven't seen the movie and I can't tell you how much I appreciate you telling me the ending is confusing.

When he sent his wife and child away from NYC when there was going to be a quarantine his little child pointed and saw a butterfly, he keeps remembering this throught the story. The test subject was cured by the same cure as the mouse. It just took it longer to work on humans. Hope this helped.

Just like god told that lady to do things. Will smith heard a voice(his kid) that said follow the butterfly.Then he looked at her and there was a butterfly on her neck.
As for the test subject that got cured, I think it took a while for the serum to work.
it's the same old question in life..the butterfly effect..if you destroy something it affects the cycle on earth, hence if you repair it , things return to normal..a better analog was in the film The Sound of Thunder..but it's a movie genius ..try not to lose sleep thinking about this and that because will smith is in it.
