edit - contrary to prev other answers this is not a historical film its a lord of the rings crossed with troy rip off, and they do wrestle young boys in the film

FANTASTIC i loved it
I thought it was great. Especially if you like the action packed war movies. It is the story of Thermopolis, an epic battle in history

Personally it was amazing i loved it. Gerard butler is hot in it aswell lol. Its a really good watch you wont be disapointed. It quite long though.

i was disappointed by it. some good action but i didn't feel the overall story was told that well and i didn't like the fact that you could tell that practically all the scenes were computer generated.
Very hard fight action blood heads coming off and a bit of sexual contact.

The movie 300 is pretty good as it does tell something of the Greek history. It is informative. Some previous comments were slightly ridiculous, especially the first comment.
pffttt...it depends on your movie interests...i personally am not into the whole war/fighting movie...but i thought it was pretty good...so watch it if you don't like then it is apparently not good in your opinion...but if you do then it is good....but as i said before it depends on what you like....and it's not about half naked men fighting with boys....it's about 300 guys that kill thousands of men who are trying to take away their freedom and way of life...but i liked it so watch it, learn and you might be surprised.

Dude, it's an awesome film (especially if you liked SIN CITY) and has some of the most amazing visuals ever filmed. You shouldn't miss it!
yea i think it is a very exciting movie. it was thrilled, full of action and has a strong plot. i heard that its storyline was similar to the history, not many big changes were made.
so i recommend this movie and hopefully u will like it too.

Very good. I go into every movie suspending disbelief and trying not to be critical. If you do that I think you will like it a lot.

it's muscly, leather-clad chewing gum for the brain. It's based on the comic book which is loosely based on historical events. If you watch it expecting a history lesson, you're going to be disappointed. If you watch it to be entertained, then it does it's job rather nicely. Of course, I'm female, so maybe I'm biased...
it's brilliant if you like violent films
The movie is about events from the Greek History,
The Spartans, proud Warriors. Very good ,I enjoyed it very much. It takes you on a journey of events a long time ago. Excellent stunts and costumes, but not everyone will like the movie. It is an aquired taste. Go see it and judge for yourself :)
