In how many Schwarzenegger films does he say, I'll be back?!

Question: Since The Terminator, variations of the line have been used by Schwarzenegger in a number of other films in which he appears:

The Terminator (1984) - "I'll be back." Said by The Terminator after being denied entrance to a police station. The character returns by driving a car through the front door. Arnold has been quoted that he hadn't thought much of the line when filming the movie.

Commando (1985) - "I'll be back, Bennett!" (before being put on an airplane against his will.)

The Running Man (1987) - "Killian, I'll be back!" Said to reality/game show host Damon Killian (Richard Dawson), who does not expect Schwarzenegger's character to survive the broadcast. Killian's response is, "Only in a rerun."

Red Heat (1988) - Schwarzenegger's character says something in Russian, which the English subtitles render as "I'll be back."

Twins (1988) - "If you're lying to me, I'll be back!" (to the doctor who headed the experiment that created him)

Kindergarten Cop (1990) - "I'm back!" (returning to the classroom full of kids)

Total Recall (1990) - "I'll be back!" (being taken back to Recall)

Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991) - "Stay here, I'll be back." Said by The Terminator to Sarah and John Connor during the escape from the Cyberdyne building. The character returns by driving a truck through the front door to rescue the human protagonists trapped inside.

Last Action Hero (1993) - "I'll be back.... Ha! Bet you didn't expect me to say that!" Said as Jack Slater, a character played by Schwarzenegger in a film-within-the-film. (Schwarzenegger also plays himself in the real movie.) Said to the child protagonist, who is bemusedly aware of Schwarzenegger's real-life use of the phrase.

Junior (1994) - After entering a house Schwarzenegger's character says: "It's nice to be back."

The 6th Day (2000) - "I might be back..." (to pet store owner)

Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines (2003) - "She'll be back," said by The Terminator in reference to the enemy T-X android, and "I'm back!" after flying a helicopter into the antechamber of a military bunker, and emerging from the wreckage. In the latter use, the phrase "I'm back" also refers to his return to loyalty and allegiance with the protagonists, after having been "corrupted" by the villainous T-X.

Schwarzenegger has since used the phrase during public speeches as part of his career as the governor of the U.S. state of California

most

Guessing 2 - originally in Terminator, and making fun in Last Action Hero

In all of them, but you don't see it, as it happens just after the clicker board sounds and they say cut.

728 at last count.

He uses variations of it in twelve:

Terminator : In the Police Station
Commando : Getting on the Plane
Running Man : To the Gameshow Host
Red Heat : (In Russian - You need the subtitles on)
Twins : To the Doctor
Kidergarten Cop : As he returns to the kids he says 'I'm Back'
Total Recall : As he gets taken back to TR
Terminator 2 : To Sarah and John as they escape from Cyberdyne
Last Action Hero : To the kid
Junior : (Although he actually says - It's nice to be back)
Sixth Day : To the Pet Shop Guy
Terminator 3 : (Well, again - He says 'She'll be back')

So I guess he only really says it in nine

I don't know but he said it in Twins last nite

too many

I agree with Otter and Lowlevel, i've seen all 12 movies and i've only got one thing to say,

"I'll be back".

he said it in terminator and the last action hero. He also said "she'll be back" in t3.
