Question: If you could re-cast the wizard of Oz with modern actors who would you pick? Who would you choose to direct it?
I'd go with:
Director: Jean-Pierre Jeunet (For a darker yet still whimsical take)
Tin Woodsman: Bruce Campbell (For the jaw and the sheer bad-assery)
Cowardly Lion: Paul Giamatti (Because he does sniveling better than anyone working right now)
Scarecrow: Gary Oldman (Cuz I want my scarecrow good and deranged )
Dorothy: Audrey Tautou (cuz she comes packaged with Jeunet, and she's awesome)
The Wizard: Christopher Walken (because I'd put him in everything if I could)
Wicked Witch: Ellen Burstyn
