What'd you think of the movie "Golden Compass?"?!

It's fiction I read the book it's a good book for fiction.People shouldn't worry about it. Fiction writers write to entertain it isn't until a movie come out that people start to complain. It show what type of people that are complaining. Not that you have to read the book before you watch a movie but if you want to have more context and a less contorted picture of what the author originally wrote.It would be good to read it.

haha... you know I think that it is crazy that people get so pissed at movies. I am religious, but I would have no problem watching that movie. I hear it is really good and well made, just like the Da Vinci Code... excellent movie!
Oh... by the way. Those Catholics who are so against all of these movies... take a look at the history of your own religion. You will find that many of your traditions were adapted from the Pagans by the Romans so the Romans could get more people to come to church!

I liked it. I didn't pick up on the "church" thing at all!!! I thought it was a very good movie for kids (not a lot of blood/guts or nudeness!!!). :)

I've seen this question about 5 times today. If you see that someone has asked the question already, then please don't post it again. I read the books but didn't like the movie so much. I didn't dislike it though. They just messed with a lot of details.
At least they dont portray the church as sleeping with kids, which i believe is the norm.
I thought it was more entertaining than Narnia and so did my 10 year old. Love Sam Elliott. I felt it was very good.

The movie was okay. I've read all three books are they are so much better.

I didn't let my son see Harry Potter and I won't let him see this one ether. If you don't follow the Bible or understand it than you won't understand why us Christens won't let our children see these movies.

The movie was a disappointment.
It's a great book that they turned into a fair movie.
I'm not going to see it.
