To be honest, some of the stupidest films keep me awake at night, such as Rob Zombie's "Halloween". It was ridiculously bad, but something about it kept me tensed up.
Give "The Ring" a shot. And for a psychological thriller, "The Silence of the Lambs" will do for ya.
mad man, it's some cheesy movie from the 80's, it scared the crap out of me, and I love scary movies. it is some old farmer killed his family then was hung by an angry mob.

Rosemary's Baby and The Exorcist, scared the crap outta me then scares the crap outta me now!
Maybe weird, but I was young when I saw Stephen King's "It" and I couldn't even watch the second half. As an adult, I was oddly scared quite alot by "Devil's Advocate"
I wish I could find a movie that really scared me.
