Question: I'm looking for an Appocalypse-depicting movie, almost certain from the 90's, maybe starring Demi Moore or not.
The main carracter is a pregnant woman awaiting birth on the very night of New Year's Eve. After some omens of the Appocalypse -- like raining frogs and/or ice -- and after a lot of emotional struggle with herself, the woman realises that the baby is gonna die at birth and she ultimately chooses to sacrifice herself in order to let the child live, which actualy is the thing that stops the Appocalypse itself.

I've watched this film many times and find it quite intriguing. All three leads give a remarkable performance. Somehow, this tends to get lost among the End of Days style of films. Each time I watch it, I wonder why I don't tape it; now, it hasn't been shown for quite a while. *SIGH*
Prochnow is a remarkable actor, one I should remember to add to my favorites list when I think of his other films, including the villain of "DNA" and the lethal husband in "Murder: By Reason of Insanity" (TV movie).
