In The Film "The Da Vinci Code"There are Group Of People called Opus D!

Question: Opus Dei as well as the Knights Templar really do/did exist... i would suggest catching an episode on History Channel, or if (by some small chance) you're a Playstation Gamer, take a look at the Broken Sword Series... this is where I first heard of the Knights Templar, and then I read DaVinci Code, and right before the movie came out, there were about a hundred specials on the History Channel.
They are/were both secret underground (literally and figuratively) societies, and therefore a lot of information is conjecture.
Bottom line, though.... they DID exist.

Yes but not as depicted in the Film. They are not as sinister.

Opus dei is real and they have complained about being sensationalised in the book/film

Yep, but there nothing like the film.

the book is complete and utter fiction. Dan Brown was completely taken in by all these made up brotherhoods

Yes, they do exist. And the film accurately portrays them. My grandmother was sucked into it by their pose of piety, but she was not part of the inner circle that is involved in pro-Fascist subversion in various places in the world.

yeah it's a religious group. But it's not like them in the film.

Does that help?

Yes! there are a lot of them in Spain! I know someone who is one, but they′re not like in the film although yes very religious and strict about their "rules".

Their hdqs are in New York city. They are not quite as bad as Brown makes them out to be, but like any group of fanatics they are basically evil.

Yes, I once met one in spec savers.

And there is a very interesting book about these people: Their Kingdom Come: Inside the Secret World of Opus Dei (Robert Hutchison).

The German title is: 'Die heilige Mafia des Papstes' (the holy Mafia of the pope) - it says already a lot about them...

Yes, it's true. And there are other secret societies such as
The Masons, Knight Templar, Skull & Bones, Priory of Sion, The Illuminati, Scientology among one of them. These are secret societies to join and not to reveal much of their conspiracies.

A lot of things in the movie really exist or are true theories.
