It is in fact the original Dawn of The Dead.
This is the Dawn Of The Dead.
This is the original Dawn of the Dead (circa 1978) directed by George Romero and produced by Dario Argento. Dario Argento also did an Italian edit of the film which is now out on DVD and is known as Zombi. It's much more fierce than the George Romero version and a lot of the comedy scenes were taken out of it to make it have more suspense.
In Europe this was followed up by 4 other Zombi titled sequels.
Zombi 2 - Lucio Fulci's Zombie
Zombi 3 - 5 - Were done by various directors including #3 was a partial movie that Lucio Fulci did as a follow up to Zombi 2, but he never finished it and another director completed the film. It's a bit of a mixed up flick because of this with the Lucio Fulci parts standing out compared to the wrap around story the second director added to try to pad the running time.
