How many people did not like the ending to The Mist, but did think the movie was!
Question: I saw the Mist last friday and loved the movie, but did not like the ending, I have to admit this, I did not cry but felt like I was going to, that was the saddest ending I ever saw. Overall the mive was really well done, but again did not like the ending, loved that the mist was gone at the end that is i guess a happy ending but what happened before that over shadowed that part.

I read the story way back when I was a teenager and was pretty jazzed at the idea of making a movie based on it. They did a really good job of being true to the original story right up 'til the ending.
And at that point - I guess they HAD to give the viewers some sort of conclusion to the tale. (The original story sort of left things up in the air and didn't resolve things with our characters)
I didn't like the ending... but I think I didn't like the idiots in the theatre with me making all kinds of noise and talking through the whole film even more.
I thought it was a ok film. I wasn't happy with the explaination of how the mist came into picture. The ending was cool because when does that actually happen in movies? It really caught me off guard. I would give it 7/10
Although I did really enjoy the movie, the ednign left my quite disturbed!
They would have been better off just leaving us wondering about what the world had become rather than ending it the way they did!
