Is robert de niro better in a comedy, action, or mafia crime thriller?!
Question: I believe he is a great Actor in every part he plays, but especially in the Mafia Crime Thriller. He is one of the great all time Actors. Hands down.

Anything that isnt comedy, he looked very out of place in meet the fockers. Sad that he's been stereotyped, but he does the mob thing well.
THis is personally my opinon...but I think hes MUCH better in a drama type or mafia movie....he lacks something in a comedy to me......

I think he is brilliant in comedy-came as quite the surprise to me. Really, he is such a great actor-he can do anything "better".
It seems to me Robert DeNIRO plays his parts in movies the same in all catagories. He is one of the great actors of our time.

Well, his comedies are pretty funny, but he can go in almost all directions
I really like him in mafia related roles. BUT, I do think limits his ability to act. When he's in a mafia film, his characters are very similar, obviously and that's where SNL got that pesci and de niro skit from. He's really really his best in drama films where he can expand his acting a little bit.
