Jane Russell's best movies..?!

Question: 1950s screen diva Jane Russell is one of my favorite actresses. What are your favorite starring roles from Jane, and why?

(It may be cliche but I love Gentlemen prefer blondes. Not many actresses can blow Marilyn Monroe out of the water, not even Lauren Bacall in How to marry a millionare, in my opinion! ..and that's saying a lot!..)

"Gentlemen Prefer Blondes" is my favorite film of hers, too, but mainly because of Marilyn Monroe. The two are great in this. An especially funny part is when Dorothy impersonates Lorelei when she's on the stand. She has the breathy quality perfect.

I also enjoy "The Tall Men" with Clark Gable, Robert Ryan and Cameron Mitchell. She had to have enjoyed that shoot! Actually, all the leads look as if they're having fun. I think Gable brought that out in all of his leading ladies. How could they help striking sparks?! *SIGH*

"Foxfire" is interesting, with the gorgeous Jeff Chandler looking so... *SIGH* again

"Paleface" is one I haven't seen for quite awhile, but I recall that it is a very funny movie. Maybe the Western Channel should run it and "Son of Paleface" sometime.

Paleface with jane and Bob Hope-a great comedy and a fun film
