Movie 2: The Castle Beyond the Looking Glass
The film opens with our heroes hiding in an abandoned temple. Inuyasha is in his human form, as everyone else prepares to fight Naraku. Inuyasha is frustrated as Kagome heads out to face the demon without his help. Deep in the forest Sango and Miroku chase after Naraku, leading him to Kagome who fires an arrow at him, injuring him. Naraku transforms into a giant spider as everyone prepares to attack again. Their attacks are ineffective though, due to Naraku's barrier. Naraku crashes through the tiny temple just as the sun rises and Inuyasha transforms back into his half-demon form.

Inuyasha breaks the barrier using Tetsusaiga, allowing everyone else to attack the giant spider. Kagome spots Naraku's Shikon shard and Inuyasha tries to carve it out, while Naraku attempts to absorb him. Sango uses the Hirakotsu with Miroku's staff, as Kagome fires her arrow and Inuyasha uses the Wind Scar to simultaneously attack Naraku- killing him. Elsewhere Kikyo, Sesshomaru, Kagura, Kanna and Kohaku all sense Naraku's passing. Kagura's heart returns to her chest, as Miroku's Wind Tunnel curse is lifted.

In the woods Kanna is leading Kagura to a watery cave where a mirror is kept. Inside the mirror is Princess Kaguya, who is awakened and raises her palace, the Dream Castle of the Pentacle Mirrors, from beneath a lake. She promises to give Kagura her true freedom, which Kagura seems happy to agree to. Elsewhere, Akitoki Hojo, the ancestor of Kagome's classmate happens upon Kagome and Sango bathing in a hotspring. As Sango and Kagome chat, Kagome worries about what will happen with their quest now seemingly soon to end. Miroku tries to stop Akitoki from peeping, but gets clobbered instead for his trouble. During the confusion Akitoki flees the scene.

Back in the modern times, Kagome studies the historical story of Princess Kaguya from the Tale of the Bamboo Cutter. After class Ayumi, Eri, Yuka and Kagome all go out for burgers when they run into Hojo. He presents Kagome with some health drinks and asks her to go to the fair with him. Sota arrives before Kagome can answer and tells Kagome that Inuyasha is waiting for her at home. Kagome freaks out when she sees Inuyasha in town and worries that people will see him.

In the past, Kagura and Kanna begin their quest to gather artifacts for Kaguya, starting with a crystal from a dragon's neck and a jeweled sprig of a plant. Kikyo senses Kaguya's growing strength, as Kagura and Kanna return their items to Kaguya. Kanna tells them that they should take Inuyasha's Robe of the Fire Rat next. In the woods Kagome makes a locket with her picture in it for Inuyasha. He seems less that impressed by it, but soon picks up Kagura's scent and runs off to face her. Kagura's attacks shred Inuyasha's kimono, allowing Kagura to escape with a piece of his Fire Rat robe. As they prepare to make their escape, Inuyasha sees Kaguya inside Kanna's mirror. Kaguya tells Inuyasha that she can see his darker demonic side that he keeps in check, angering Inuyasha. Inuyasha unleashes the Backlash Wave, but Kanna manages to reverse it using her mirror. The redirected attack nearly kills Inuyasha, but Kagome commands him to "sit," forcing him out of the path of the attack. Having gotten what they came for, Kagura and Kanna depart. Now Princess Kaguya has three of the five items she is seeking.

Miroku visits with Mushin, telling him of the recent death of Naraku, and Mushin gives Miroku a gift intended for whomever defeated Naraku. The gift was passed down through Miroku's family for two generations, and the box is marked with a pentagram. In the woods Sango and Kirara come across Kohaku, who has been liberated from Naraku's clutches. Sango saves Kohaku from a group of pig-demons and carries him away with her. Meanwhile, Kikyo comes across a village filled with dead people. She meets a child who tells her that demons slew everyone. The child gives Kikyo the Stone Bowl of Buddha for safe keeping, one of the items Kaguya is seeking. Kagome, Inuyasha and Shippo continue their quest for the Shikon shards without Sango and Miroku. They come across Akitoki Hojo who is being held up at a bridge by some bandits. Inuyasha makes short work of the men, and Akitoki thanks him. Kagome gets a look at the boy and realizes he must be related to her school chum. Inside of Akitoki's bag, Kagome sees what a piece of cloth, which he tells her is the Celestial Robes.

Miroku relaxes with Hachiemon and Mushin. He asks Hachie to take him to his grandfather's grave so that he can research Kaguya, which his grandfather's gift warned him about. Hachie seems less that willing to help Miroku now that he has lost the threat of the Wind Tunnel. Miroku beats Hachie up until he agrees though, correcting his poor attitude. At the Demon Slayer's Village Kohaku and Sango pay their respects to their deceased father. Kohaku's memories are still fuzzy as he has no memories of what he did to Sango and their father. Kirara dashes outside, sensing something is amiss. It is Kagura, who has come seeking a shell in Kohaku's possession, obviously one of the items needed by Kaguya. Kagura takes the shell with little effort. Later Kohaku tells Sango that he was guarding the shell to prevent Kaguya's sealing spell from being broken.

At Miroku's grandfather Miyatsu's grave, they meet an elderly man who knew him. The old man tells a tale of how a man stole a celestial maiden's robe while she was bathing. The being went on a rampage, and Miyatsu, Miroku's grandfather, sealed the woman in a mirror. Miroku expresses his doubts about the creature being a true celestial maiden, and more likely a demon in disguise. Undoubtedly is it Princess Kaguya whom they are discussing. Meanwhile, Akitoki tells Kagome and Inuyasha that he was travelling to Mount Fuji to throw the robe into a crater on Mount Fuji in order to prevent a great calamity. Kagome quickly realizes that this is part of the Kaguya legend she learned about in school. That evening in a forest, Kagura crosses paths with Kikyo who holds the final item Kaguya needs to break her spell. Kikyo gives Kagura the Buddha's bowl without a fight, after Kagura tells her that Naraku truly is dead. Kagura is surprised by Kikyo's generosity to say the least.

With the final item placed in the lake, Kaguya is free to exit the mirror world and come into ours. Before she frees Kagura, she tells her that she has one final mission to undertake. As Inuyasha and Kagome sit around the fire, Akitoki confesses that he has a crush on Kagome. Shippo forces the poor boy to be his servant under the threat of telling Kagome about Akitoki's feelings. By the lakeside, Kagome asks Inuyasha if he still plans to use the jewel to become a full-demon. Inuyasha says that he still plans to follow through with his plan, which angers Kagome. Suddenly cherry blossoms begin to bloom out of season, and everyone realises something is wrong. Kaguya appears and prepares to fight Inuyasha. It seems Kaguya plans to take the celestial robe back from Akitoki. Kaguya binds Inuyasha to a tree, and then uses her mirror to reverse one of Kagome's arrows directly back at Inuyasha. Seeing that the arrow will strike Inuyasha, Kagoe dives into its path as Akitoki throws the robe towards her. The robe wraps around the arrow as it hits Kagome, who quickly passes out. Inuyasha screams at Kaguya who tries to entice Inuyasha to become her servant in exchange for Kagome's life. When he refuses she takes Kagome's unconcious body with her and invites Inuyasha to her Dream Castle.

Akitoki tells Inuyasha where the castle is located as Miroku and Hachie make their way to the cave where Kaguya's mirror was enshrined. Much to their surprise Sango is already there with Kohaku. Inside the cave they quickly realize that Kaguya's mirror has vanished. They soon realize that Kaguya must have escaped from her mirror prison. Upon exiting the cave they find Kaguya's Dream Castle resting upon the lake. Using her immense powers she creates a giant pentagram around the moon. It seems that she is planning to stop time and destroy all living things, as per Miyatsu's legend. Seeing the pentagram, Inuyasha makes his way to the castle.

Inside the castle Kaguya's clothes begin to change as her power increases. Sango and Kohaku try to raid the castle on Kirara's back, as Miroku does the same while riding on Hachiemon. Unfortuantely Hachie is blasted by a fireball causing him to crash. Kirara too his struck, but Shippo manages to save her and her passengers. Inside Kagome awakens and Kaguya realizes the Celestial Robe protected her. As Inuyasha tries to cross the lake to save Kagome a multi-headed dragon blocks his path. The dragon proves to be too much for Inuyasha as it attacks him from all sides. Swimming under the surface of the lake, he realizes that all the heads are connected at the base. From teh shore, Kikyo fires an arrow that kills the dragons along with Inuyasha's Wind Scar. As quickly as she arrives, Kikyo departs, letting Inuyasha head into the castle alone.

Inside the castle Kagura challenges Kaguya after learning she is not a true celestial being, just a simple demon masquerading as one. Kagura continues to taught her as Kanna attempts to suck Kaguya's soul into her mirror. The mirror has no effect though, thanks to the Celestial Robe. With a wave her her hand, she teleports Kagura and Kanna to the bottom of the lake. Outside Miroku, Sango and the others use Kagome's bandages as Shippo bosses Akitoki around. Miroku paints a Wind Tunnel on his hand to give himself confidence in the upcoming battle.

Arriving inside the castle, Kaguya uses the mirror to stop time. As the wave washes over everyone, it does not effect Sango, Miroku, Shippo, Kirara and Kohaku because they are wearing the bandages from Kagome's time. Upon realizing this has saved them from the time-stoppage, they quickly wrap themselves in bandages and head into battle. Inuyasha is able to move thanks to the pendant from the modern times that Kagome gave him earlier. He soon disappears as Kaguya explains that he was never there, it was merely an illusion. Outside the real Inuyasha meets up with the others and leads them into the castle, as Kohaku rushes ahead of them, much to their surprise.

Kaguya tells Kagome that she plans to eat her in order to gain her powers. Before she can though, everyone arrives to save Kagome. Kaguya and Inuyasha duel as she disarms him of the Tetsusaiga. Without his sword, Kaguya is able to bring out his full-demon side using her mirror. Kagome begs Inuyasha not to transform, but he is unable to stop. Miroku tries to stop Inuyasha, but Inuyasha attacks him, knocking him to the ground. Shippo uses Kagome's Shikon shards to break the barrier that was holding her in place. She runs to Inuyasha begging him not to transform. Kagome hugs Inuyasha as the fights the transformation, digging his claws into her arms. Kagome begins to cry and leans in to kiss Inuyasha, breaking the hold Kaguya has over him. Inuyasha retrieves the Tetsusaiga as his robe repairs itself. As they battle, Kohaku screams in pain as Sango realizes he has a large spider wound on his back. Suddenly Miroku's Wind Tunnel reappears as well. From Kohaku's back springs Naraku, it seems it was all an elaborate trap so that he could lure Kaguya into the open and absorb her. Kaguya and Naraku begin to battle as the castle falls apart around everyone. Kaguya seems to make Naraku vanish, allowing her battle with Inuyasha to continue. Kagome asks Shippo to turn into a bow, and she uses Miroku's broken staff as a makeshift arrow to fire at Kaguya. Inuyasha uses his Backlash Wave, destroying her as Kagome's arrow breaks her mirror. The castle falls apart as a cloud of vapor attempts to possess Kagome. Kaguya's vaporous form is almost absorbed by Naraku who quickly appears, but Miroku manages to suck her remains into the Wind Tunnel and prevent Naraku from gaining her powers.

Everyone escapes to safety through Kaguya's mirror which takes them outside. Time has come unfrozen and everything seems to be back to normal. Hachie and Akitoki greet the returning warriors, showing them that they regained the Celestial Robe and Miroku's broken staff. With Kaguya defeated, the group prepares to continue their adventure to collect the Shikon shards and defeat Naraku.

Movie 3: Swords of an Honorable Ruler
The film opens with Inuyasha's father wounded and talking to Sesshomaru. Sesshomaru demands Tetusaiga and Sounga, when he refuses, Inuyasha's father asks his son if he will kill him. Sesshomaru does not answer. When his father asks him if he has someone to protect, Sesshomaru says he does not and has no need of such a thing. His father transforms transforms and flies away. An army stands in front of a castle, Lord Takemaru enters into the birthing room of Izayoi as she delivers Inuyasha. Inuyasha's father rushes to see her, with Myoga warning him of the wounds he suffered in battle with Ryukotsusei. Takemaru enters Izayoi's room with the intention of killing the newborn Inuyasha. Izayoi tells him to gather his men and flee. Takemaru confesses that he is in love with her but that because she loves a demon he must save her. He stabs her with his spear and leaves the room. Soon, Inuyasha's father attacks the castle and makes short work of the army waiting for him and faces his wife's murderer. Takemaru loses an arm to Tetsusaiga and orders the castle to be burned. Inuyasha's father hears his newborn son's first cries of life and uses Tenseiga to save Izayoi, protecting her from the flames with the Robe of the Fire Rat. Takemaru arrives once more and battles Inuyasha's father to the death after naming his son.

Inuyasha strolls through a field in the Sengoku Era as Kagome catches up to him on her bicycle. Kagome introduces their comrades and Sesshomaru before returning to the present for a break. At school she plays volleyball when Inuyasha jumps in to save her from being hit with the ball. She "sits" Inuyasha in frustration as her friends question her about what happened. Back at the Higurashi Shrine, Grandpa is bringing the sword of Murakumo out of storage. On her way home, Kagome questions Inuyasha about his behavior, and he says he was only trying to protect her. She explains volleyball to him and he remembers playing Kemari as a child. Human's mistreated him as a child at play, and it was the first time he saw his mother cry.

In the past, Miroku, Sango and Myoga visit Izayoi's grave as Myoga explains how much Inuyasaha still misses his mother. Grandpa Higurashi explains the legend behind the sword of Murakumo to Sota, but Sota notices that the spelling is incorrect and it is in fact Sounga. When Sota reaches for the blade a spirit appears and exclaims that the 700 year old seal is about to be broken and that the evil demon sword Sounga will be free. The blade flies from the shrine into Tokyo before finally settling at the playground that Kagome and Inuyasha are walking through. The spirit of the blade recognizes Tetsusaiga and introduces himself as Saya, claiming to have known Inuyasha's father. He tells Inuyasha to take hold of Sounga, but he refuses and the sword causes the entire city to instantly fall to ruin. Saya tells them that they are seeing the future if Sounga has its way. In order to prevent it they must ensure that a human never lays hands on Sounga, because their greed will ultimately destroy the world. Inuyasha agrees to place the sword back in its sheath, but as he touches the hilt the blade wraps tendrils around his arm, turning him fully demonic.

Inuyasha approaches Kagome and tries to cut her, but Inuyasha fights back as Sounga speaks and attempts to control him. Inuyasha tells the sword that he will take it some place better as re rushes back to the past. Kagome is infuriated that Inuyasha would not let her help, and asks Saya if he can supress the power of Sounga. He says that he is not sure if he can, but seems as though he is unwilling to do even that. In the Sengoku Era, light erupts from the Bone Eater's Well as Inuyasha returns, and Miroku, Shippo and Sango notice, as does a very interested Sesshomaru. Upon arrival, Inuyasha attempts to attack Shippo and some villagers running into Sango and Miroku in the process. Myoga recognizes Sounga as Inuyasha's father's blade. Sounga almost manages to force Inuyasha into killing a human child, but he rips into his own arm instead. Just then, Inuyasha attacks the group with Sounga's Dragon Twister, a technique more powerful than the Backlash Wave. The group agrees that they need Kagome's help before going after Inuyasha.

As he moves away from the destroyed village, Inuyasha hides in a cave to stay away from other living people. Sounga's power has dampened and it has lost its control over Inuyasha. In the present, Kagome packs her things and jumps down the well. Saya recognizes the destructive power of the Dragon Twister and meets his old friend Myoga. Kagome makes note that Sounga passed through the Bone Eater's Well which may have been what caused the blade to awaken. Meanwhile Inuyasha murders a trio of ogre's as Sesshomaru's Tenseiga leads him to the blade. Miroku and the other's find the dead ogre's that Inuyasha killed, but one of them wakes up as Saya mentions that those slain by Sounga become walking dead. Miroku is forced to use his Wind Tunnel, but learns that the demon's now contain a miasma that will poison him. Only burning them will ultimately kill the beasts, however Kagome's spiritual arrow is a good substitute.

Kagome and Saya rush off in search of Inuyasha as Miroku, Sango and Shippo stay behind to fight any remaining ogres. However Sesshomaru finds Inuyasha first. He is irritated to find that Sounga has chosen Inuyasha as its master and prepares to do battle with his brother. Sounga begins to tempt Sesshomaru as Kagome, Myoga and Saya run into Totosai on their way to meet up with Inuyasha. Totosai says that he did not create Sounga, rather it was kept in check by Inuyasha's father. Sesshomaru continues his assault as Sounga leads Inuyasha more power to overwhelm Sesshomaru. As Sounga curses his father, Sesshomaru becomes enraged and rips Tetsusaiga from its scabbard, unleashing the Wind Scar against Inuyasha. Sesshomaru is injured in the process though, and Sounga demands that Inuyasha kill Rin and Jaken. Sesshomaru regains himself and rusehs in to kill Inuyasha, however Kagome catches up just in time and uses her sit command to save Inuyasha. Instead, the command forces Sounga to release its hold of Inuyasha. Sesshomaru turns to leave but Inuyasha tells him to wait, that he will be the one to destroy the sword. Sesshomaru says he is not good enough to do it. Inuyasha asks Myoga about his father, and Totosai tells him that his father was much stronger than Inuyasha is now. He realizes that he must destroy the blade, even if he isn't strong enough. Leaving Kagome, he heads off to find the sword on his own as Sesshomaru questions his father's decision to leave him Tenseiga.

That night an ogre finds Sounga and is taken over by it. The ogre is transported to the realm of the dead and finds Sesshomaru's discarded arm at Inuyasha's father's gravesite. Returning to the Sengoku Era, the Sounga is plunged into the ground, resurrecting Takemaru. Sounga tells him to slay Inuyasha and Sesshomaru as vengeance against their father. As Kagome awakens she finds our group of heroes have combined with Jaken and Rin, in an attempt to find both Inuyasha and Sesshomaru. Rin hands Kagome the Beads of Subjugation that scattered after she sat Inuyasha earlier. Myoga tells the group about how Sounga ended up at the Higurashi Shrine. Upon the death of Inuyasha's Father, Totsai, Myoga and Saya placed Tetsusaiga in the grave of Inuyasha's father, and Tenseiga went to Sesshomaru. Not knowing what to do with Sounga they threw it into the Bone Eater's Well. Saya tells them that if they combine the powers of Tenseiga and Tetsusaiga they may be able to destroy Sounga.

Meanwhile, the reborn Takemaru is bequeathed Sesshomaru's left arm to replace the one he lost in battle. With it he claims Sounga and transforms into a horrible demon. The next morning a group of soldiers spy a dark cloud moving overhead and are shocked to find that the inhabitants of their castle have all been slain by Takemaru. He uses the Dragon Twister and wipes out the entire regiment in one fell swoop. However Sesshomaru's arm throbs with pain afterwards. Inuyasha finds Takemaru's grave at the same time as Sesshomaru. He is disgusted to see that Sounga chose Takemaru as its master. Sesshomaru and Inuyasha begin to fight once more. In the heat of battle Sesshomaru remembers his father's final words to him, but is enraged as he blames Inuyasha and Izayoi for their father's death. Sesshomaru wins the battle, but leaves Inuyasha alive. The sheath of the Tetsusaiga saved him. In the sky, the group rides Momo, Kirara and Aun in search of Sesshomaru and Inuyasha.

In the light of a full moon Takemaru uses Sounga's demonic powers to bring back all the soldiers he murdered; he now has an army at his command. Sesshomaru and Inuyasha both approach Takemaru's castle from different directions as the rest of the group comes closer. Sounga and Takemaru command their army of undead, as our large group of heroes decide that each of the eight warriors will have to fight 200 soliders each. Shippo and Jaken aren't too happy about participating when suddenly they see Inuaysha fighting in the distance. Sesshomaru soon begins his fight as well as everyone else. The battle is unending as the soliders are very difficult to kill. Finally dispatched, Sesshomaru and Inuyasha search for Takemaru. Sounga commmands him to destroy Tenseiga. In battle Tokijin suddenly becomes useless as a soldier grabs Sesshomaru's blade from him. Rin spies it and tries to recover it, but both she and Kagome are kidnapped in the process. Sounga tells Takemaru that both Rin and Kagome care for demons as did Izayoi, fueling his hatred for them.

Outside the castle Sesshomaru and Inuyasha team up to make the final push inside. Sesshomaru quickly abandons his brother in search of Rin. Takemaru plays with Kagome, injuring her and attempts to kill rin when Sesshomaru finally arrives. He tells the girls to leave as he begins to fight Takemaru and recognizes his arm. Outside, Shippo, Miroku and Sango finally catch up to Inuyasha and help him defeat the soldiers. Inside, Sesshomaru pulls Tenseiga and prepares a second assault on Takemaru, as the escaping Rin and Kagome run into an undead ogre. Overwhelmed by the unending forces of the undead, Miroku unleashes his Wind Tunnel, almost killing himself in the process. Inuyasha manages to save Kagome and Rin just in time as he heads in to find his brother and slay Takemaru. Kagome tells him that it will take Tetsusaiga and Tenseiga to destroy Sounga.

Joining the battle Inuyasha meets Takemaru and learns that he used to love Izayoi but came to despise her. Sounga commands Takemaru to use the Dragon Twister on the brothers, but Inuyasha stops him. Inuyasha tells Takemaru that because he is half human he has what it takes to defeat him. Takemaru falls and sees Izayoi's face once more. He finally understands that she was trying to protect him at the end of her life. Realizing that he truly loved her, he becomes a skeleton once more. Sounga flies away using Sesshomaru's arm and attempts to open a path to the netherworld. The portal begins to suck in the living of the world, until Saya erects a barrier. At the remains of the castle Sesshomaru and Inuyasha battle Sounga's final form, but continue to scabble with each other. Kagome leaves the barrier to see Inuyasha. Kagome tries to encourage the brothers to work together, but they don't listen. Inuyasha leaves the battle to give Kagome Tetsusaiga's scabbard for protection. Sesshomaru and Inuyasha continue to work alone and get nowhere. Sounga uses the Dragon Twister again and Inuyasha stands firm to protect Kagome. Sesshomaru looks on and realizes that his father's words did have meaning, realizing that he is the protector of Rin and Jaken he finally works with Inuyasha and combines his Dragon Strike with the Backlash wave, destroying Sounga. The portal to the netherworld is sealed and the sword and Sesshomaru's arm fall back into the afterlife. For a brief moment, Sesshomaru and Inuyasha see their father as he congratulates them on their victory.

Sesshomaru leaves with Rin and Jaken as Kagome asks Inuyasha if he was happy to meet his father. He responds that he wasn't, and Kagome frowns in disappointment.
