Does anyone remember a Wizard of OZ movie with monkeys on unicycles and the witc!
Question: My friend says she remembers a movie like that and she thought it was a remake of the Wizard of OZ. I told her I doubt it but she may be thinking of another movie. Any ideas?

It could be "Return to Oz" (1985), which stars Fairuza Balk as Dorothy Gale, Nicol Williamson, Piper Laurie, and Matt Clark.
It could be that your friend is thinking of the Wheelers, which are bizarre-looking creatures that move around on wheels.
The witch sounds like Mombi, who keeps heads in glass containers and changes her head with her mood. I think the three Mombis are played by Jean Marsh then Sophie Ward then Fiona Victory, but I'll have to check.
It isn't a remake of "The Wizard of Oz". It is a non-musical sequel to the 1939 movie in which Dorothy returns to a very changed Land of Oz. It's a much darker film than the MGM musical, but it's excellent. I was fortunate enough to see it in the theater.

I'm not sure, but, I think that was the Wiz.......that's the only thing I can think of, but, the monkeys weren't on unicycles they were on motorcycles

sounds like Return to Oz, the queen has different heads that she keeps and can change them out, they didnt have monkeys on unicycles, they had the wheelies, guys with wheels for hands
