How many of you got suckered into the hype of Spiderman III?!
Question: I was actually going to fall for it when it came out. i had seen the first just by chance.
A neighbor had the second and insisted on me borrowing it to view (he raved).
Now i just finally watched the third one on one of those free movie sites and i have to say, although I like the symbolism that was expressed in Spiderman being over taken by his own lust for vengance and self glofication; it was really, corny, poorly scripted, contrived and appears to be nothing more than the usual CGI (and not even really well done CGI at that) garbage that Hollywood hypes up, markets and spews out just to get movie goers to open their wallets.
I have to say, I'm really glad i didn't pay for such a disappointment....with any of them.
Why do people support films like this, that are really nothing more than a slap in the face?

Spiderman 1 was the only good spiderman movie number 2 sucked because it was way too slow and lovey dovey and number 3 sucked because it made Venom look like a little sissy when he was originally portrayed to be HUGE not some short Irish schmuck
I couldn't agree more. I mean, both Spiderman I and II were really good, you know, action-packed and funny random one-liners. But the third one sucked real badly. It was kinda slow and it felt like a drag to watch.

well most ppl wont even know that its not good, or it could be that they saw the first 2 and wanted to see how the third one came out. there many reasons but i dont wanna list them all
uhh....... If the first movie wasn't good , the people wouldn't have watched the third . The first movie was good , so people just assumed that even the third would be good . Spiderman comics are extremely popular and since the movies are based on the comics , I guess people who liked the comics also thought that the movie would be good .Lots of money was spent on advertising too ,
Well I think for some they hope that the characters that they loved in comics as a kid will be done some justice, and for others I think they might just be curious to what all the comic fans are so interested in. I myself was very curious and actually liked the first 2 movies though the 3rd was a definite failure. I like to see something that I know cannot happen in real life...but I agree that most of these types of movies are what you would call a slap in the face and a complete waist of money. So I usually just wait until I can rent the movies or borrow from friends :)

That movie was better than crappy Beowulf, Fantastic four, but umm one sec Fatastic four was cool, LOVE DELL. got Dell.
I don't think it sucked nearly so bad as X-men 3 did.

I agree with with ROBOT....i like liked the movies too....just saw III yesterday.....i loved it...i have to say!!
