I think it was supposed to be a draw. Jason got whooped in the dreamworld while Freddy got his ash handed to him in the real world.

it doesn't mean anything. it is a movie. they can make another one next year that negates what the last one said.
to answer your question though, jason won. in order for jason to beat freddy they had to bring him to the real world. it is where he lost his super powers and was out matched by jason's.
besides they killed them both off years ago. there was freddy is dead and the other was jason goes to hell.
hhmmmm i dont think they ppl who made the movie didnt really want to kill either off, since freddy and jason are cool, it would suck if one died, so yeah

in the ending it sees that jason won in the real world but freddie was still alive only thru nightmares
actually it's not yet finish, maybe there will be a sequel for this same with the movie Alien vs Predator
I think they were originally planning on a sequel (although I don't know if they actually will have one), so nobody won.
I dont think the intention was to answer any questions at the end of the movie. In the old movies you were suposed to be left feeling like the movie wasnt over and I guess they just kept the traditional style for this one too. I dont think nuclear fallout could kill either of them.

I am really disappointed in New Line Cinema, as there were talks of having Freddy & Jason with Michael Myers in the follow up but stupidly axed the decision at the last second.
Why bother?????
I personally think they have made a big mistake making that stupid movie in the first place.
Jason won, but Freddy is still alive clinging on to life in Jasons subconsious. As seen in the new comic out right now "Freddy vs Jason vs Ash".
