without a doubt, the one based on the best book trilogy ever, Lord of the Rings.
the movies being made about Narnia will also be excellent. Lion, Witch and the Wardrobe was great, and another is being worked on. that book series is not a trilogy though.

Pirates of the Carribean. Keep in mind a trilogy is THREE, so saying ones with 4 or more is wrong.

John Steinbeck wrote the best ever trilogies. He grouped his novels of human drama into threes. Black Comedies of sorts with Tortilla Flat (1935), Cannery Row (1945) and Sweet Thursday (1954). Labour Trilogies In Dubious Battle (1936), Of Mice and Men (1937) and, of course, The Grapes of Wrath (1939). Also the travel trilogies

My favorite is Lethal Weapon, but there are 4 of them. So I would have to say Indiana Jones. I also like the original 3 Star Wars movies, Back to the Future, and the Romero Night of the Living Dead, Dawn of the Dead, Day of the Dead. There was a 4th one, Land of the Dead, but it didn't seem to fit the others.
