Movie version of The Frog Prince innappropriate for children? Has anyone seen th!

Question: When I was little, we had a film addaptation of The Frog Prince, sure that was the title. And it was the story of The Frog Prince.

However, in the final scene of the movie, the frog becomes the prince but is in his underware. (I seem to remember that they were modern underware, which is odd, as the movie itself was set in the period in which the story was written.) He got into bed with the princess, but then her father stormed in with a bunch of knights and they killed him, I think before anything happened?

It is a very strange memory for me, now...has anyone else ever seen this movie & know what I'm talking about?

There is a movie titled "The Frog Prince" (1988) aka "Cannon Films: The Frog Prince", with John Paragon as the prince.

Well, I've done some reading, and I don't think there's a scene with knights killing the prince.

"Shelley Duvall's Faerietale Theatre" has an episode titled "The Tale of the Frog Prince" (1983), with Robin Williams playing the transformed critter. I don't recall him being killed in this one either.

This is an IMDB review:
This is easily the funniest episode of "Faerie Tale Theatre", taking a familiar story and injecting quite a bit of adult humor (courtesy of Robin Williams). Teri Garr plays a shrill, spoiled princess who is forced to keep her promise of a dinner date with a frog (Williams), who really an enchanted prince. Some of the humor is racy, such as when the princess scolds the frog, who's watching her get dressed, for being a "horny toad", and when the frog flips off the palace chef for trying to cook him. Despite the shaky special effects and decidedly stagy acting, this is the highlight of Shelley Duvall's classic series, and fun for anyone of any age. A must see!

My memory is hazy of this episode, as it has been about 20 years since I've seen it. I do recall it being a bit "adult", but that was to be expected from Robin Williams I suppose. I think this is the first episode.

YouTube has this in six videos. This is the last scene:

If you ever read the ORIGINAL version of faily tales, you would be appalled

The Little Mermaid actually dies
SNow White had her evil stepmother fitted with metal shoes, intowhich molten lead was poured and she was forced to dance until she died.
Sleeping beauty was raped and gave birth to twins, one of them, looking for something to suckle, pulled out the poisoned spindle
Cinderella's evil stepsisters hacked off parts of their feet to wear the fur (not glass, that was a translation error) slipper

The Frog Prince is nothing compared to all this
