OK i just saw this movie, yesterday, and im going to see it again today.

A man with a serious heart condition must undergo a heart transplant surgery. While fighting off the drama in his real life between his mom and wife, he also has to deal with this. Unfortunately for him, as he undergoes the surgery, he experiences anestesiac (sp) awareness, where he can hear, feel, and experience everything around him, only he cant move or talk to let anyone know.

While hes going through the surgery, he finds out his doctors have planned to inject his new heart with some medicine so he would die, as a get rich quick scheme.

All in all, this movie was seriously intense, and sad, and heart pounding (literally), and suprising.

It made me for sure afraid to go to the doctors, cuz this actually happens to people in real life, just look it up in Yahoo! news, a guy committed suicide after being awake during his surgery, and a lady has had to deal with the shock ten years after her awake surgery.

this happens to 1 in 400,000 people.

scary.

in the movie though, the only real reason its rated r is because they say the F word every chance they get, kind of defeating the purpose of it.

Go see it, it was really good!

i didnt like it

well its about this guy that goes into surgerey and he wakes up in the middle of it which can happen in real life and overhears the docters saying they were going to insert something in his heart and that they would get paid so he tries to tell some one

it's about a man who goes under heart surgery when it's not necessary, so the surgeons can accidently kill them and get money cos he's rich, but his wife has sixth sense that he's going through that pain..
that pain meaning Anesthesia Awareness which happens in 1 - 400,000 cases, 1- 40,000 if you are a heavy smoker, drinker or druggie.
Anesthesia awareness is when your in for surgery and paralyzed but can feel all pain, hear everything and be scarred for life, but most cases of awareness you do not feel the full effect.

This movie will suck for 2 reasons .
1- Jessica Alba is a sucky actor.
2- It will make thousands, of people scared of surgery incase this insanely rare event happens (THE FILM TELLS YOU THE ODDS ARE 1-700 LMFAO!!!!)
The odds are as above, 1 in 400,000 or 1 in 40,000 if you have addictions/illnesses.

Personally i'll go see it, but the aftermath of the film is gonna give Anesthesiologists hell.

Netflix.com has this plot summary:

While undergoing a heart transplant, Clay (Hayden Christensen) experiences "anesthetic awareness," a condition that allows him to see and feel everything that's happening to him but leaves him paralyzed and unable to do anything about it. From his unique and painful vantage point, Clay learns troubling truths about his young wife (Jessica Alba) as she struggles with her own demons. Terrence Howard and Lena Olin co-star.
