Saw 1
Saw 2
Saw 3
Hostel 1
Hostel 2
Turistas
Black Christmas
Cabin Fever
Cannibal Holocaust-WARNING: real castration and killing of live animals
The Audition
Ichi the Killer
Guinea Pig Flower of Flesh and Blood
Planet Terror

It's not technically a horror movie, but there's A LOT of blood and gore in Saving Private Ryan. I mean A LOT. And it's really sad. You'll be bawling.

I also heard Black Christmas is really nasty. And I was so terrified of 1408, I had to go out.

I hope there aren't going to be young children in your house while you are watching them.

Some very good horror and thriller movies are: "Gujo" (because this can actually happen,) "Speck" (This did actually happen,) "The Shining" (Can't down-grade this classic,) and/or the original "The Hitcher" (Much better than the remake.)

Hostel - very nasty....not scary but nasty...
Try the Exorcist The Beginning or the plain Exorcist
but....
I strongly recommend The Ring, after that you will piss fear when you hear the phone ringing.

Cheers

The Grudge... it is pretty scarry..

1 Hostel
2 Dog Solders
3 Alien
4 The Exorcist (the directors cut)
5 House of 1000 Corpses
6 The Devils Rejects
7 The Hills have Eyes
8 The Shining
9 I Spit on your Grave (directors cut)
10 Texas Chainsaw Massacre

those should keep you up all night in cold sweat. House of 1000 corpses and the devils rejects are a series, and are two of the most twisted movies on the face of the planet.

Oh, one extra for you

Grindhouse

Enjoy

Well there are some classic like Rosemary's Baby, Amityville, Omen. and Psycho

There are gore fest like Suspira, the Hellraiser series, DeadAlive, and Dead Next Door

There are considered scary flicks like the Thing, The Ring, and The Grudge
